2012 R.I. Charter Boat Mako II Sport Fishing Report

May 11, 2012-The bass are here. Striped bass fishing is pretty good right now. Flounder lots of shorts and a few keepers. Cod fishing is over.

Oct. 22, 2011-Bass fishing is still good at the island. Sea bass excellent weather permitting. Porgies are hot right now. Had 25 blackfish the other day. Try to take advatage of blackfish and sea bass while you can. It's going to be a long winter.

Sept. 27, 2011 - The captain says: The largest striped bass of the season are being caught right now. Fishing for bass still remains hot.

Aug. 8, 2011- The captain says: Striped bass fishing continues to be red hot. Fishing will continue to be good through September.

June 29, 2011-Block Island North End lots of blue fish and schoolie bass. Block Island Southwest corner fewer bass but bigger up to 47 inches long. Fluke fishing is steadily getting better. Check out the fluke pictures by clicking on RI fishing reports.

June 21, 2011-Captain Dave reports that bass fishing is as good as it gets now. Fluke fishing is picking up. Lots of 8 lb. keepers. But the dogs are at Block Island.
